Job Details: Virtual Assistants International (VAI) is searching for an Search Engine Optimization (SEO) / Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist for one of our clients, a US Internet Marketing services company.
The candidate will be responsible for increasing the organic/paid traffic of external clients’ sites and managing the day-to-day operations of multiple Search Engine Optimization (SEO) / Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns. The SEO Specialist will be involved in all facets of internal and external client SEO efforts, including strategy development, project execution, and plan management.

The candidate must demonstrate hands-on SEO tactics, with a heavy focus on SEO trends, paid searches, ranking factors, and possess a forward-looking approach to the search industry and the future of SEO. This individual must have prior SEM experience with excellent analytic capabilities, keen business judgment, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
• Develop SEO/SEM best practices and strategy for web search, social media, viral marketing, local search, mobile, images and video for various sites and blogs (both internal and client)
• Implement and manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to support all online marketing initiatives for clients
• Perform keyword discovery, competitor research and recommend URL structure and site map design
• Collaborate with developers, graphics designers and external partners to develop and implement customized and targeted SEO and landing page strategies
• Utilize Google Analytics to analyze web site usability, design, and A/B and multivariate testing techniques to maximize profit for internal and external clients
• Monitor, track and report against indexing, traffic, and ranking goals
• Create and deploy digital communication including blog creation and all internal social media management.
• Seeking a self-starter who will manage all aspects of paid campaigns, from overall strategy development to day-to-day implementation, optimization, analysis, and reporting
• Possess organizational skills and ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and resources in a deadline-driven environment
• Stay-up-to date on new developments, trends and technologies in the SEO/SEM space

Skills & Qualities
• Expert with Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, and Google AdWords with AdWords Certification preferred
• In-depth knowledge of Search Engine Optimization & Search Engine Marketing a must
• Experience with leading search engine ranking, traffic, and web analytics software
• Exceptional understanding of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms and ranking strategies from working on and managing SEO campaigns
• Basic understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, MySQL, JavaScript and CSS
• Provide examples of managed SEO/SEM campaigns, understanding of local search, including citation monitoring and review management.
• Experience claiming and editing local listings for major search engines (Google, Bing and Yahoo) a plus.
• Must have excellent organizational and project management skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements
• 3+ years’ experience as a dedicated SEO/SEM professional
• College graduate. Technical or Associate’s degree or equivalent in education and experience required.
• Supervisory/Management experience is an advantage
• Worked/interfaced directly with North American clients
• If/when necessary, be able to work from home in a comfortable and QUIET ENVIRONMENT: this means, no outside noise such as roosters, dogs, vehicles; a qualified home computer system and high speed internet connection (DSL or cable/broadband)
