Purchasing Manager – Pasig City – Maersk Group Procurement Manila

Job Description & Requirements
The Purchasing Manager role will manage and lead Group Procurement Manila Section and will be responsible for the end to end task management and team performance.
The role will also serve as a direct link to business unit offices and stakeholders globally.

Key responsibilities
• Develop strategy for MNL office which supports BU priorities, ensure flawless supply chain while improving customer satisfaction
• Ensure global team cooperation is consistent and seamless thereby allowing for possibility to support and fulfil onsite logistics and purchasing requirement
• Develop and establish training programs for Lead and Senior Buyer on leadership skills and act as the extended arm of peers globally as and when needed
• Set direction for program management of transition activities from group procurement operating entities to group procurement MNL
• Responsible for the entire purchase to pay to delivery process management to ensure efficient supply chain process.
• Identification and development of potential talents to meet global competency requirement

Required experience & skills
• Bachelor degree with solid forwarding / purchasing experience combined with 4-6 years managerial functioning
• Good understanding of international supply chain
• People and Project Management skills
• Understanding of vessel / rig operations
• Understanding and prior use of commercial drivers and Business Unit priorities
