Join the Human Resources team of an international humanitarian organization. The ICRC delegation in the Philippines is hiring for a:
Staff Health Focal Point
(based in Makati)
The Staff Health Focal Point will handle all matters relating to the health of ICRC staff in the delegation. In line with ICRC staff health policies and in collaboration with medical personnel on the spot, s/he promotes and maintains the physical and mental health of the ICRC staff. S/he is also responsible for evaluating local referral health structures.
MAIN TASKS
• Evaluates medical structures and quality of services provided; identifies and monitors services for referral and treatment of staff members
• Implements and supervises staff health policies
• Carries out individual / collective health briefing for all new staff in the delegation and at the end of mission for mobile staff
• Ensures that all staff members going to the field have access to malaria prophylaxis and receive emergency treatment when necessary
• Collects accurate and reliable data pertaining to illnesses, accidents and absenteeism, with a view to providing statistics on illnesses and the medical risks taken by staff members
• Collects medical reports and does the request for ICRC financial support when the insurance cover is exhausted
• Executes office and administrative work, including processing of medical invoices and approval of medical expenses, mostly independently
• Maintains strict confidentiality with regard to all medical information
QUALIFICATIONS
A successful candidate will:
• Possess a medical diploma or degree in health and/or a relevant discipline
• Have at least 3 years experience in a similar field
• Have the ability to work with different groups, partners and nationalities
• Have the proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and cope with competing demands under tight deadlines
• Be fluent in spoken and written English
• Be computer literate
