A Million Voices Philippines is a grass root organization that is looking for a Tutor for a short-term position in Manila, the Philippines. The organization has community based projects, and the position is linked to a scholarship program.

I. IMPORTANT DETAILS
The teaching venue is located either in our project area, which is in the Baseco slum, or in our Ermita office.
Due to the school schedules of the scholars, sessions would be once or twice a week over a specified time frame. One day being Saturday. Exact times can be discussed with candidate.
Approximate scholar numbers for the tutorials is about 10 children from grade 6 to high school level.
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist scholars in elementary and high school levels with home work and projects, and by that also provide teaching lessons upon necessity;
Prepare reports on the tutorial sessions;
Report to the Social Worker/Executive Director pertaining to any academic issues of a scholar;
Conduct one on one tutorials for scholars with particular academic needs;
Assist the Social Worker in organizing fun and educational activities/programs for the children
III. REQUIREMENTS
College graduate or at least 3rd year college in Bachelor of secondary or elementary education.
Resident of Metro Manila.
Must speak Tagalog.
No criminal record (NBI clearance to be submitted).
Work experience with children and youth in depressed communities is an advantage.
Computer literate.
Energetic, dynamic, patient and willing to learn.
IV. NOTES ABOUT THE POST
A. This is a short-term Consultancy vacancy which is paid a day rate.
