Senior Field Officer – Navotas – Food for the Hungry

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Field Officer is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the sponsorship requirements and systems in the area of assignment. This person should ensure fluid communication between sponsored children and sponsors.
The Senior Field Officer is also responsible for ensuring the development of the leadership skills of the community leaders, church leaders and families for wholistic ministry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sponsorship:
• Develops relationship with those sponsored and the leadership of the community to ensure an effective link between the sponsored and their sponsors
• Collects the enrolment information of those individuals being sponsored, meets deadlines provided and follows sponsorship guidelines and policies.
• Deliver and collect all correspondence in timely manner.
• Ensures that correspondence follow FH’s Child Protection Policy
• Ensures content quality according to sponsorship guidelines for all correspondences coming from a sponsored individual
• Keeps all children’s files updated and secure the children’s folder
Leadership Development and Institutional Strengthening:
• Leads the Institutional Strengthening strategy of the area of assignment.
• Ensures the development of the leadership skills of the local leaders for holistic ministry.
• Builds the capacity of church leaders in areas including biblical worldview, planning and implementation.
• Plan and organize strategy to build capacity of community leaders, church leaders and families.
• Establishes relationships with key partners in the municipal or city level, schools and other stakeholders in the community.
• Supports the Junior Field Officers in facilitating community leaders meeting, development of community transformation plan and on-going implementation in their community
• Serves as resource persons on issue of child protection, drr, education, livelihood
• Ensuring that FHPhilippines’ advocacies are implemented in the community level.
Program Management
• Provides leadership to area of assignment and to area team
• Prepares the CFCT annual operating plan considering strategies in the community
• Ensures the implementation and integration is CFCT Issues in the community
• Prepares first draft of proposal for expansion of communities.
Network Development:
• Actively establishes and engages in network initiative in the area (like ABSNET and NCSD Cluste)
• Provides support to Junior Field staff in creating opportunities for advocacy in the area
Administrative
• Submits monthly report to the Regional Manager (monthly work plan and accomplishment report) due every 3rd day of every month.
• Submits impact stories to Regional Manager with copy furnish to Communications Officer on a quarterly basis
• Submits request for cash advance every Tuesday by email or hard copy duly signed by the Regional Manager.
• Manages the cluster’s cash flow
• Submits finance report and liquidates on a timely manner.
• Other task that may be requested by Program Director and Regional Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Graduate of Social Work or Community Development or any course relevant to the position
• Experience in training adults and different sectors

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Direct supervision of Junior Field Officers

LANGUAGE SKILLS
• High degree of fluency in both written and spoken English
• Knowledge of local language(s) desirable
