Program Manager – Manila – Hivos

Hivos is a non-governmental organization inspired by humanist values. Our mission is to contribute to the creation of a free, fair and sustainable world, in which men and women have equal access to resources and opportunities for development and can actively and equally participate in decision-making processes, which determine their lives, society and future.
Hivos has an extensive 40-year track record in strengthening civil society groups and can -as a broad development organization- explain the relationship between HIV and other sectors. In its HIV policy interventions, Hivos believes that everyone has the right to care, information and prevention. One of the main pillars of the work of Hivos is the desire to enhance access to power and means. Hivos wants to promote free choices, citizenship and democracy. In the case of HIV Aids, this will require more than treatment and behaviour change. Hivos would also need a stigma-free environment and good quality services, so that people with different sexual identities and HIV can actually make healthy choices without fear, stigma, discrimination and taboos. The above-mentioned record of accomplishment has, amongst other things, led to Hivos to be principal recipient of in many countries of the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. In this role, Hivos has been able to realize its main goals, to mobilize vulnerable groups and to increase their access to resources and citizenship.
For its Hivos Southeast Asia (Hivos SEA) seeks qualified Filipinos candidates for the position of:

We aim to improve access to services of keys populations, reduce HIV/AIDS/TB co-morbidity and enhance participation of key-populations in decision-making, implementation and monitoring of HIV and TB services.
