Legal Interns – International Committee of the Red Cross

Join the IHL team of an international humanitarian organization. The ICRC delegation in the Philippines is hiring for a:

Legal Interns
Two (2) interns for a two-month engagement
(based in Makati)

MAIN TASKS
• Providing legal background research for and contributing to the Customary International Humanitarian Law Study, and writing reports on issues relating to humanitarian law, human rights law, international law, domestic legislation and other matters, as required
• Providing academic, administrative and logistical support for ICRC activities linked to IHL promotion

QUALIFICATIONS
A successful candidate will:
• Be law students who have completed at least three years of law school
• Have studied and has strong interest in International Humanitarian Law or Public International Law
• Possess excellent legal research and writing skills
• Have excellent English communication skills
• Have the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

ICRC offers:
• Weekly compensation package

Duration of contract: June to July 2017
