ACF is an international non-governmental, private, apolitical, non-religious and non-profit organization created in 1979. Its goal is to combat hunger and dangerous situations that threaten men, women and children. Currently 500 expats and more than 5,000 employees are working for ACF in more than forty-six countries working in projects concerning four areas of focus: Nutrition, Food, Security and Livelihood, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Disaster Risk Reduction Management, Advocacy and Good Governance.
General Responsibilities
Objective 1. Knowledge Management – Technical aspects **
Tasks:
• Identification of thematic, sectoral and technical aspects documentation in coordination and consultation with WASH PM and relevant referents in Manila
• Responsible for creative collection, analysis, documentation of lesson learned and impact of WASH activities (technical/social/approaches and methodologies)
• Ensure documentations and findings from the analysis are supported with evident
• Ensure documents are validated by respective ACF staff, LGUs/Partners/Donor representatives and their comments/concerns are integrated in the final documents
• Ensure dissemination of the documents to relevant partners
• Coordinate with ACF communication/advocacy departments use the documents for evidence based lobbying and advocacy on WASH
• Participate in meetings/conferences/workshops to promote/disseminate lessons learned as needed and in coordination with WASH PM and Referent in Manila
Objective 2: Knowledge Management – Human Interests
• Identify important and relevant human interest/ success stories to be narrated to highlight program impacts on communities, individuals and partners
• Responsible for collection of human interest/success stories directly from the field/beneficiaries (through interview, discussions etc) following ACF communication protocol
• Analyse the data/information collected and prepare quality stories (according to agreed formats) to demonstrate programs impact
• In coordination with ACF Communication/Advocacy officer, ensure stories narrated are included ACF new bulletins and disseminated
• In coordination with the WASH PM and Referent, ensure inclusion of materials relevant forums/for a/workshops and conferences at national level and as requested **
Objective 3: Planing/Reporting/ Security/HR
• Develop monthly work plan in coordination and consultation with WASH PM and agree
• Support to prepare monthly activity progress (APR)
• Liaise with the HoB to ensure that security measures are adhered to by the team.
• In coordination with logistics, keeps in mind the security constraints of the area of operations for the design and implementation of programs.
• Informs logistics of any security problem encountered in the implementation of the activities.
• Participates in the updates of security plans and adheres to the adopted measures.
• Ensure the respect of the mission security rules by his/her team
• Compliance of ACF HR policies/systems
Objective 4: Others
• Support WASH PM in organizing and conducting exchange field visits and knowledge management events
• Archiving of documents and information related to the position and work done as source of verification
• Support ACF mission in terms of emergency/disasters and as needed/requested by the country office
• Collaborate with UNICEF WASH section, when needed and requested, in KMO related activities and events
• Participate in donor visits, as needed/ requested by line manager
• Adhere to the Mission reporting system.
CONTRACT PACKAGE

QUALIFICATIONS
**Bachelor’s Degree in field relevant (Communication, Community Development) or in Civil engineering
• Demonstrated capacity in analysing and writing quality reports
• Understanding of WASH interventions (approaches/methodologies)
• Capacity to work autonomously
• Experience in KAP, PRA, FGD and household survey and need assessment
•
• At least two (2) years’ experience in similar position or communication related work
• Understanding WASH issues (at community/LGU level; needs/gaps of vulnerable groups) Has demonstrable knowledge in LGU-NGO collaboration and development work
• Strong self-motivation and an ability to set and achieve goals
Strong communication and coordination skills
Flexibility and willingness to work on a range of tasks
Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Integrity, professional discretion, and ability to handle sensitive/confidential matters

Proven commitment to ACF International’s mission and values
• Familiarity with the local culture, ability to develop respect from a wide range of people and strong ability to communicate effectively on WASH matters
Willing to travel extensively and stay in the field with moderate living conditions
• Excellent English language in written and spoken is essential apart from Tagalog (Maranao and Maguindanaon is an advantage.
• Knowledge of computer software applications (e.g. windows, word, excel).
• Willing to be assigned in Masbate or Cotabato
