Group Revenue Manager – APX Hotels Apartments

Job Description & Requirements
APX Hotels Apartments is hiring Group Revenue Manager.

Our new Group Revenue Manager role will cover a broad range of responsibilities which will include, but will not be limited to the following:

1. Be responsible for the revenue generation of APX Hotels Apartments.
2. Reporting on sales performance across all managed properties and collating all hotels’ reports relating to any reservation or sales tracking as designated by General Manager
3. Work closely with the General Manager, Sales Manager, Operations Managers in rate setting for all periods.
4. Analyse and report on business, source, yields, production, origins and complete month end reporting as directed.
5. Coordinate yield meetings as designated. Report on forecast and actuals, trends, market intelligence for yieldable periods, stay restrictions, business patterns, and competitor pricing and strategies.
6. Control and monitor the loading of all rates into GDS and any other form of booking or rate/room management system in use.
7. Utilize effective yield management techniques through the Implementation of stay restrictions to maximize occupancy, average rate and room revenue.
8. Conduct a 30 60 90 and 360 day forecast on a weekly basis. This will be presented and discussed in sales meeting.
9. Monitor group holdings to ensure room blocks are accurate and release periods are correctly tracked to prevent unexpected wash of rooms.
10. Maintain accurate room rate control and availability status.
11. Control all discounted and complementary rooms by acting as 1st signatory after confirming or declining availability.
12. Review Hotel pricing and rooms on an ongoing basis to ensure proper positioning of the Hotel versus its competitive set/market.
13. Ensure all websites are workable and functioning correctly, such as Levart, GDS. I-hotelier and third party websites.
14. Ensure all reservations are loaded accurately by team & backup Paperwork filed promptly.
15. Ensure arrivals are checked & rooms allocated at least 1 day in advance by operations teams.
16. Perform virtual site inspections as requested by teams to check product changes etc.

Your success will depend on:
• Minimum 2 years analysis experience
• Exceptional knowledge of Industry and Yielding/Revenue Management
• Feeling excited everyday of working in a challenging fast paced environment which rewards you for your dedication and success.
• Having a very goal oriented and positive attitude with clear determination to achieve targets.
• Owning a high end computer with an i5 or i7 processor.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
• Subscribing to excellent internet service of 4 Mbps and unlimited data plan so you are always connected.
• Well-groomed and excellent verbal and writing English communicating skills.
• Willingness and ability to work as per Australian Eastern Standard time.
