Enumerator / Distribution Officer – ACTED

The Enumerator/Distribution Officer is responsible for the identification of the needs, number of beneficiaries and/or the distribution of such assistance from ACTED to designated beneficiaries; has profound knowledge on the fundamentals of basic needs in relation to assessment and emergency response and even in development phase.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Enumeration:
• Assist ACTED in collecting data as per the project requirements for its different identified project sites.
• Understand Assessment Operational Procedures including codes of conduct, security rules and procedures.
• Recognize and give account of problems in obtaining data and provide useful feedback from the field directly to the Team Leader.Seek out respondents who fit the suggested profiles in assigned project sites and collect data based on questionnaires developed and supplied by the project using smartphones or tablets or a paper-based questionnaires adhering to humanitarian principles and ensuring impartiality
• Gather and accurately record responses on questionnaires provided.
• Ensure that questionnaires have been thoroughly checked and completed.
• Submit completed questionnaires and other equipment used in fieldwork to ACTED, and will, if required to do so, compile his/her findings in a format required.
• As part of each assignment, participate in briefings; carry out data collection, data entry and/or reporting.
• Travel across district(s) assigned for data collection by designated transport.
• Follow guidance provided Team Leader; Enumerator Terms of Reference; and the Questionnaire Guidance and Training Manual.

Distribution:
• Ensure that the beneficiary receive the right amount of items as specified in the donation certificate and the distribution list.
• Organize the distribution in the most effective way possible in agreement with the distribution team leader
• Make sure that the beneficiary signed the donation certificate before leaving the place of intervention/distribution.
• Uphold ACTED’s integrity by maintaining good and healthy relationship with and among ACTED colleagues and beneficiaries.
• Adhere to HAP standards as set by ACTED; perform any other task as assigned or required by this position

Qualifications Required:
• College Graduate
• 2 years’ experience in I/NGO in the same field is an advantage;
• Excellent capacity building/training skills/ pedagogy; Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to learn and adapt within dynamic and often self-directed working environment;
• Ability and willingness to travel to the field extensively; Knowledge of the geographical area is an advantage;
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to speak and understand local dialects (Cebuano, Maguindanaon, Tsabacano, Tausug,) is an edge
