Job Description / Requirements
Mission of Function:
The Contracts and Regulatory Manager is responsible for the 1) management of the Bilateral Contract Quantities (BCQ); 2) risk management for Electricity Trading, 3) in-charge of database and trading/market reports, and 4) in-charge of regulatory affairs of the Trading business.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Trading
Monitor customers loading vs. contracts.
Develop various protocols and documents and position papers related to Trading.
Develop/monitors the implementation of various service agreements.
Coordinate various trading issues and concerns.
Facilitate/undertake special projects that will be identified in the trading business.

Regulatory
Review/prepare comments to policy and rules changes in the power industry in general and the Spot Market in particular.
Facilitate reply to comments/inquiries from DOE, ERC and PEMC on regulatory matters.
Analyze/prepare reply on non-compliance of PCPC plants in the WESM.
Act as the Regulatory Officer to the WESM.

Trading Coordination
Ensures smooth coordination with the Systems Operations, Market Operations and the Plant Operations personnel to achieve efficiency in the trading operations.
Coordinates with in-house regulatory/legal on compliance.
Facilitate required registration processes for incoming generators of PCPC and other related business of PCPC such as RES.
Attend public consultations being conducted in the power industry.

REQUIREMENTS:
Competencies (Knowledge-Experience-Capabilities)
Understanding of the WESM business processes and business operations of the trading counterparties.
Skills in analyzing competitive market behavior for purposes of offering in the market.
Adequate experience in understanding and sorting market data with Marketing Team for competitive offers in the market.
Results-oriented, resourceful and able to handle the pace and demands in an evolving power industry.
Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the presence, stature, and confidence to serve as a spokesperson of the company to various clients.

EXPERIENCE (No. of Years): Professional: At least four (4) to ten (10) years experience in electricity trading; preferably came from the power industry.
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in the field o Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or related business field or its equivalent.
