The Assessment Team Leader is responsible for the community assessment/distribution and other field activities. He/she is in charge of the community assessment team, responsible for team management and follows up of the work plan designed by the project manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Community mobilisation
• Over time, forming strong relationship with their designated community group.
• Supervises fieldworks carried out by the assessment/distribution officers.
• Organizesthe assessment and distribution activities to areas covered by the project.
• Participate to the selection process of beneficiaries according to the defined criteria.
• Proposing creative and innovative ideas on the conduct of assessment and distribution activities.
• Responsible for collecting and compiling daily monitoring reports of the assessment and distribution officers. team, including implementing systems to collect field-level information
• Participate and coordinate the team regarding beneficiary selection according to the criteria defined.
• Monitor the implementation of planned activities and community level engagements.
• Leads/Facilitates meeting in the field and among the team members.
• Mobilize and facilitate active participation of the local partners including the beneficiaries and their communities to participate in planning, monitoring and implementation and evaluation of the development of the project.
• Collects success stories, lessons learned, best practices and impacts of the project.
Representation
• Represent ACTED during Barangay/Municipal meetings related to the projects
• Working with other NGOs partners, local authorities and other actors affected by the project.
Reporting
• The Assessment Team Leader is responsible for weekly reporting the assessment/distribution officers ‘ team achievements within ACTED to the project manager
Organisation and planning
• Plan and facilitate communication and event pertaining to assessment and distribution activities and other relevant activities arise during project implementation.
Communication and Coordination
• Sharing information both to and from the assessment/distribution officers
• Organize regular team briefing to share information to the field team coming from the municipalities and the project
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• A Graduate of Social Sciences courses.
• Worked experience in I/NGO as Assessment Team Leader is an advantage;
• Excellent capacity building and management skills;
. Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to learn and adapt within dynamic and often self-directed working environment;
• Ability and willingness to travel to the field extensively;
. Knowledge of the geographical area is an advantage;
. Excellent written and spoken English and able to speak and understand local dialects (Cebuano, Maguindanaon, Tsabacano, Tausug,) is an edge
