Job Description & Requirements
The role of the Product Technical Lead is integral to the Cloud Professional Services Department. The role requires to oversee all technical support activities in relation to the products and services assigned, emphasizing on the following:
•ensure that the products are sold and positioned properly from a technical pre- sales perspective;
•service is implemented, operated and maintained properly, and
•provides consistent correct post- sales support to customers.
The Product Technical Lead is the “product technical guru”, as such should be the foremost expert of the product or services assigned to him or her.
Specific Responsibilities:
•Technical Pre- Sales
o Collaborates closely with the product manager(s), and sales personnel to ensure that products and services he or she handles are sold and positioned properly from a technical perspective, which will entail him or her to perform specific pre- sales functions as below;
o Develop technical scopes of work for proposals and contracts with customers.
o Develop technical and business proposals, as well as presentation of these proposals to customers.
o Actively participate in technical discussions and forums with customers.
o Coordinates pre- sales efforts between different service delivery and operational units of the company and 3rd parties (if applicable)
o Ensures proper delivery of proposed solutions by working closely with delivery team, including continuous monitoring of service delivery to ensure service levels are met.
After Sales Implementation and Provisioning:
o Oversees the proper and timely implementation and provisioning of products and services to customers. Ensuring that services are provisioned according to agreed time, budget and delivering all required functionalities and features.
o Leads in the development of correct procedures and standards for the proper implementation and provisioning of services.
Service Platform architecture and maintenance:
o Provides technical leadership, maybe working with a team of engineers and 3rd parties (e.g. suppliers and principals), to develop and implement the technical architecture of platforms that will deliver the product or service; and leads all aspects of product development as needed, from requirements analysis to product release.
o Leads in the development of correct procedures and standards for the proper maintenance, monitoring, administration and management of service platforms.
Post- Sales Technical Support:
o Leads in the provision of 2nd level technical support for customers, working closely with customer support teams and principals/ vendors to provide technical expertise to resolve reported customer issues.
Assist the head of Cloud Professional Services and Account Managers in efforts related to the development and enhancement of new or existing products and services for the company. Giving critical and important technical knowledge and input.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree.
•Technical training on any relevant IT product and services is a plus.
