QUALIFICATIONS:
• Candidates must possess at least High School/Vocational Diploma or Short Courses Certificate
• Male, not more than 40 years old.
• With working experience in the same field is required for this position.
• With related certification is an advantage.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Know the safe and proper use of tools and safety equipment.
• With good hand-eye coordination, balance, physical strength, and stamina.
• Willing to work exposed to the elements and at extreme heights.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Steel workers often work in building construction. Steel workers are primarily responsible for the erection and completion of a building’s framework with iron or steel girders and columns with welding, riveting, and related construction methods. Steel workers will work on the following responsibilities.
• Responsible for laying out and fabricating structural steel and sheet metal in order to build metal structures.
• Welds and cuts steel, interprets blueprints, and works with concrete reinforcing steel bars.
• Build and install iron or steel girders, columns, and other construction materials to form buildings, bridges, and other structures.
• Cut, position, and bolt down steel bars to reinforce concrete.
• Erect steel frames.
• Direct operation of cranes to move structural steel, reinforcing bars, and other materials onto and around the construction site.
• Connect steel columns, beams, and girders.
• Number steel according to assembly instructions.
• Make sure all pieces are fitted properly and complete repairs as necessary.
• Other related tasks may be assigned.
