Systems Administrator Support – Virtual Coworker

Job Description / Requirements
Company:
The client is an IT Support consultancy providing IT services to business customers in the UK. The company has been established for 1 year and through recent growth a remote support technician is required to assist with support requests made by their clients.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Client Facing
• Liaise with clients via email, chat or phone when necessary
• Attend to and resolve tickets raised in a timely manner
• Communicate with 3rd party vendors when required for support and issue resolution
• Record time against tickets and close tickets when complete Helpdesk System
• Monitor and Address system alerts as required
• Add documentation to knowledge base as required
• Update client details and records and required
• Update client IT Site documentation
• Liaise with Helpdesk system provider if required – system problems or for new feature requests
• Check maintenance reports and address issues if found
• Perform test restores of backup jobs
Create monthly reports on the types of tickets and provide recommendations on internal resolution actions
• Perform server maintenance as required

Skill Set:
• Minimum 2-3yrs of relevant working experience
• Windows 10, 7, 8, Desktop Support and troubleshooting
• Virus removal
• Printer setup and troubleshooting (network and local printer knowledge)
• Windows Server 2008, 2012, Remote Desktop Server (Terminal Server), Exchange 2007,2010, 2012,SQL Server
• Active Directory and Group Policy
• Office 365 Exchange and SharePoint platform
• Office 365 portal knowledge
• DNS Hosting – Name record management
• Modem/Router/Firewall – Good knowledge and understanding of firewall and port fwd
• VMWare ESXI 4 +
• Knowledge of Help Desk support software for incident management
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent manners and etiquette when communicating with clients
• Microsoft AZURE (Preferred by not essential)
• Superb verbal and written communication skills
• Positive communication habits
• Good Patience
• Eagerness to help others
• Little to no accent, clear and strong English speaking
• Passion for technology and working with I.T everyday
• Strong self-discipline and self-motivation
• The ability to think independently without direct supervision
• Quick, out of the box critical thinking skills
• A willingness to ask questions and learn
• Take on more advanced tasks as time progresses
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Willing to work part time 4 hours a day – UK Time
