Job Description & Requirements
Develop maintain and enhance Business Intelligence solutions including database systems, data warehouses, SQL server reporting services, Oracle business Intelligence tools and other BI systems as appropriate
Problem solve and debug complex Business Intelligence systems, including database systems and Data Warehouse to allow defect analysis and fixing
Conduct research and attend training for current and emerging business intelligence technologies in support of reporting needs
Create and maintain end-user documentation. Work within existing standards and procedures governing system development/enhancement, change management, and documentation
Anticipates and foresees the requirements of customers based on previous data and precedents
Handle and lead projects or ad hoc requests (reports, analysis, and business tool design)
Support projects related to quality improvement (such as Think Customer, QMS, Lean Office etc.) and handles tasks to support the objectives of the management
Team/People Management
Evaluates individual performance and conducts performance discussions to keep everyone on track
Performs regular coaching to enhance the performance of staff and encourage participation in decision making
Trains new hires and ensures that they have sufficient knowledge and skills before going live or performing their work alone/independently
Identifies and documents changes in the roles, responsibilities, accountabilities and work load of subordinates to properly determine volume headcount ratio, work scope
Understands and seeks critical information and material needed by the team
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Business related course such as Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy or other related courses
Job Related Experience:
At least 5 years of analytical or data management experience
At least 3 years experience in a leadership or people management position
Specific Knowledge/Ability:
Advanced in MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and VBA)
Demonstrated systems and process knowledge
Thorough understanding of databases
Ability to guide, mentor, motivate and coach team to achieve goals
Ability to maintain a positive working relationship
Excellent time management and problem solving skills
Demonstrated industry, systems and process knowledge
Culturally attuned to customers around the globe
Effective oral/written communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills.
