Job Description / Requirements
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Conduct routine microbiological test on raw materials, in process and finished products (i.e. Aerobic Plate Count, Yeast and Mold Counts, Coliforms, E-coli, Salmonella, S. Aureus).
2. Conducts pre- operation swab test of production equipment and hands swab of production personnel to validate the adequacy of plant sanitation.
3. Responsible for environmental monitoring of production area by conducting pertinent test such as plate exposure, surface swabbing and portability test of plant water.
4. Responsible for environmental monitoring of clean room/ testing area (i.e. plate exposure, surface swabbing, temperature and humidity monitoring).
5. Supervise cleaning and sanitation of clean room/ testing area to ensure exclusion of contaminants that may affect validity of microbiological tests.
6. Responsible for the inventory and timely requisition of culture media, chemical reagent, glass wares and laboratory supplies for the microbiology section.
7. Accomplishes all the required documentation in the official report forms and logbooks.
8. Ensure safe keeping in designated working area.
9. Performs other duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
