Job Description / Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Must be able to communicate effectively, verbal and written, in both English and Japanese – Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji
• Familiar with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Willing to work on Holidays, Weekends, Shifting Schedules and extended working hours
• Willing to learn and work in an IT environment
Qualifications:
• Translation tasks (e.g. e-mails, tickets, error information) from English to Japanese and vice versa
• May require interpretation service during conferences or meetings with counterparts, clients, and vendors
• Initiate and implement Quality Assurance and process improvement activities
• Assist in the development of bilinguals by conducting brownbag or training
• Ability and interest to learn business, tools and technical terminologies
• Ability to use and contribute in strengthening translation tools to increase productivity
• Works with teams and diverse range of people
Nice to have:
• JLPT passer: N3 Level or higher
• TOEIC score: 600 or higher
