Job Description / Requirements
The main responsibility of an IT Systems and Network Administrator is the accurate and effective deployment of technology services and support related to the company’s network. This position is responsible for the maintenance, administration, evaluation, and testing of computer networks and related environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications and configurations.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Establishes network by evaluation network performance issues; planning and executing the selections, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; and establishing connections and firewalls
• Provide first and second line technical support queries, maintaining high degree of customer service
• Windows server maintenance and Active Directory administration
• Implement DHCP and user access responsibilities in NT Domain Server
• Implement User access responsibilities in Anti-Virus programs and System backups
• Perform installation of operating systems, network, application, hardware and other company systems
• Establish network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, interface configuration and routing protocols
• Plan and execute performance monitoring and tuning tasks, backup strategies, disaster recovery strategies, security monitoring and related tasks
• Provide technical support for server infrastructure and functions for the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) including the management of hubs, switches, routers, firewalls and servers.
• Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control and evaluation and maintaining documentation
• Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of critical serves (such as database servers, corporate email and work group, web servers, similar tools)
• Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, troubleshooting of network problems and escalating problems to vendor
• Monitor system operation to detect potential problems and provide possible solutions
• Any other task/duty as directed by client/management
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Network and Systems Administration or equivalent
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in systems and network administration
• Experience in Microsoft Windows/Linux/Unix Environment
• Experience in MikroTik is an advantage/plus
• MSSQL/MySQL Administration is a plus
• Must have extensive knowledge on the following IT systems:
o Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008 & 2012
o Windows XP, 7, 8, MAC OS, Linux
o Active Directory, DHCP and DNS Server, TCP/IP, RDP, POP3/SMTP, WINS, DFS, FTP, Group Policy, VPN
o Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and 2007, IIS, MS SQL VMWare
o Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004 & 2006 and other Firewall products
• Proficient in various computer applications and softwares (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other systems)
• Working knowledge in enterprise network architecture, VOIP system and Firewall
• Preferably CCNA, CCNP or Microsoft certified
• Highly analytical, systematic and works with highest degree of integrity
• Has very good organization and problem-solving skills
• Must be flexible, team-oriented and service driven
• Proven ability to communicate in English, both written and oral
• A commitment to client service and a flexible can-do attitude to respond to client and business needs
• Excellent analytical skills involving server performance
• Must be willing to work in Makati City or BGC in an early morning shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
