As an IT Support/Systems Administrator, the candidate will provide a timely end-user support ensuring zero or limited loss of end-user’s productivity time. Maintain the IT computing environment (software/hardware) to ensure IT devices are secured and running in optimal performance with zero downtime as much as possible.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provides 2nd level support for both local and remote offices.
• Prioritize problems with focus on understanding the needs of end-user’s productivity, when taking actions or making decisions.
• Ensure efficient and timely resolution of problems and outages, including management and/or 3rd party escalations.
• Gathers information needed to successfully analyze a problem and determining its root cause. Identify both immediate and permanent solution to the problem.
• Works proactively and independently and as part of a team, provide supports to to her team members when required.
• Maintains the security of all IT devices (hardware and software) by installing security patches in a timely manner.
• Performs regular maintenance and upgrades of software and hardware to ensure its optimal performance.
• Administers all Mac, Linux and Windows servers, Web Application & Web Servers, Database servers, virtual environments, remote systems, network devices, VPN configuration and other IT system administration/monitoring tools.
• Work with the IT Manager on the provision and acquisition of IT services.
Desired Skills:
• Excellent communication skills and customer focus, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical people.
• Strong attention to details with good analytical thinking in resolving problems and documenting the solutions.
• Must have the flexibility to adapt to rotating work shift, including rendering of overtime when needed.
• Ability to work proactively and independently and as part of a team, provide supports to other team members when required.
• Knowledgeable in supporting MacOS workstations, its applications and hardware peripherals.
• At least two years of continuous working experience in administering Unix/Linux OS, Virtual Machines/servers, Web Application servers, Web Servers, Database Servers.
• At least two years of continuous working experience in administering/configuring network devices such as CiscoASA, LAN/WAN/WLAN and VPN connections.
• Knowledge in UnixOS/shell scripting and basic PHP/HTML coding
• Knowledge in implementing security solutions such as secure authentication/LDAP/2-Factor authentication, vulnerability and patch management, intrusion detection/intrusion prevention, log management, subsystems hardening, CCTV, physical access control, etc.
