Job Description / Requirements
This is for direct hire and regular employment for a Global Shared Services company.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the definition, documentation and communication of the Software Policy and keep it relevant; support continued user education/awareness; and be an integral part of the vehicle to drive its implementation globally across all business clusters
• Assist in the definition and management of the process framework for Software Asset Management and integration with other IT/ES processes
• Prepare detailed quality process documentation (process flow diagrams and associated reports)
• Facilitate the design of any new and/or amendments to processes including clarification, identification of issues and facilitation of changes to attain the highest levels of service, efficiency, control and compliance
• Identify a list of areas for process improvement gathered from stakeholders, internal users and team members to feed into a continuous process improvement cycle
• Own and manage a yearly plan of activity for process improvements and manage this through to completion with a regular, consistent and up-to-date status of progress towards end goal
• Assist in the identification of service level definitions and measurements that support and integrate with the Software Asset Management processes
• Undertake process compliance checks and produce associated reports with recommendations on improvements
• Use Configuration Management system and associated procedures to ensure that appropriate records of all changes to IT assets within area of responsibility are accurately controlled and recorded
• Finding ways of re-using the process information to support other key Software Asset Management business activities – e.g. business continuity, controlling self assessments and quality assurance, understanding risk, training and knowledge development.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree & ITIL certification
• 2-4 years of experience working with a dispersed set of stakeholders and team members to deliver outstanding results
• Previous experience of process/business analysis including defining operating models, designing new processes and their validation, understanding drivers for change and articulating high level requirements
• Demonstrable drive for excellence in end result under stressful situations and tight timelines
• Ability to resolve conflicts and gain a consensus of agreement within a varied group of individuals
• Has a good understanding of the requirements of the organisation in the area of software assets.
• Has extensive practical knowledge of the principles of quality management together with an understanding of the applicability of such principles to operation of information systems.
• Good facilitation with the ability to explain and simplify complex concepts for a wider understanding
• Has sound commercial, organisational, time management, and negotiation skills
• Displays good inter-personal skills at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations.
