Objective and Overall Purpose:
The Business Integration Developer is part of the offshore team for Nobia Denmark. The Business Integration Developer is structured, focused, passionate self-starters who bring energy, new ideas and practical experience to this focused and dynamic team.
The Business Integration Developer must have 3-4 years of practical experience with various integrations platforms and also be able to understand business requirements. He/she must have documented success with transform the knowledge of business processes and the need for integration between systems into excellent running integration solutions. Preferably be able to self-manage and possess excellent English communication skills.
Summary of the general nature and level of the job
The Business Integration Developer is the person that makes ideas into reality, the developer that transforms development specifications, business rules and processes into smooth and flexible running integrations that supports the business in an efficiently ways. The Business Integration must be a proactive person monitoring the daily operations understanding changes in data & business processes should and could mean optimization to stay an effective integration engine.
The Business Integration Developer reports on a personal level to a people manager under Magsaysay and on a functional level to the Tech Lead for the offshore team.
Description of the broad function and scope of the position
The Business Integration Developer will do the development of features and functionality according to specifications under the supervision of the offshore Tech Lead and the NDK Development Team Leader or Business Application Manager. The Business Integration Developer is responsible for the development of own assignments but also gain knowledge of how this interacts with colleagues work.
The Business Integration Developer register daily progress on assignments and estimated remaining work on a continuous basis that support the complete overview of the development going on in the team.
The Business Integration Developer is proactive in the team, gives input to more efficient working applications based on knowledge. The Business Integration Developer ensures that source Code is kept safe and that work follows the defined standard as well as the Nobia ITIL standards are followed.
List of duties or tasks performed critical to success
The Business Integration Developer :
Do daily development according to specifications
Participate in roadmap definition for integration platform future
Monitor daily activity of the integration platform
Report exceptions occurring – take and report corrective actions
Daily registration of hours spent and remaining work on activities
Ensure Source code are kept safe
roactively gives team input for more efficient applications
Comply with Nobia ITIL standards
Comply with NDK standard development standards
Job specifications, standards, and requirements
At least 5 years of extensive development experience with various integration platforms
Experience with Object oriented design technics
Strong experience in database design and table structures.
Strong ability to understand the business needs of organizations
Good knowledge and understanding of Data Modelling concepts, UML diagrams and various types of Design Patterns.
Knowledge og asynchronous messaging architecture, parallel execution, concurrent task management and synchronization point from ESB.
Knowledge of versioning of intermediate formats
Knowledge and proven use og logged Meta Data for end users
Knowledge og EDI standards, EDIFACT and XML
Good knowledge in system design and architecture of software applications
Good written and spoken English communication
Positive energy, curiosity, good proactive attitude and strong integrity
Any of the following is a plus:
Retail industry experience
ETL (Extract Transform Load, MS SSIS)
