Water Wastewater treatment Plant Operator – EXOTHERM, INC

Job Description
– Monitor the performance of all equipment, gauges, and instruments in the water and/or wastewater treatment plants/systems. – Records statistical data concerning plant operations. – Operates and monitors all aspects of an MBR wastewater treatment plant. – Inspects bearing, valves, seals, filters/membranes, compressors, and other mechanical and electrical equipment; makes minor repair to malfunctioning equipment; reports major or complex malfunctions to superiors. – Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties including cleaning equipment and performing maintenance task around water and wastewater treatment plants/systems – Performs routine preventative maintenance; lubricates pumps, motors, and related equipment; performs minor repairs and adjustments; paints equipment, structures, piping, and other facilities when needed. – Edits/develops SOP’s for all existing water and wastewater related facilities. – Audits operation manuals to ensure all material is always up to date – Monitors performance of electrical systems, circuits, or equipment of facilities. – Maintain shift logs, manually enters field and test data, records meter, and gauge readings. – Obtains water and wastewater samples and performs routine laboratory testing and analyses or causes the same to be done as required by government agencies for proper operation of the facilities. – This job is considered emergency essential and will be required to report to work during inclement weather or when an emergency arises. – Weekend work will be required as necessary. – Perform other duties as required.

A valid driver’s license is required; knows how to drive manual and automatic vehicles and has a continuous driving experience of more than three (3) years.
While performing the duties of this job; the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 12 kilograms, and occasionally lift and or move up to 45 kilograms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemical. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
