Job Description & Requirements
The Project Logistics Officer is responsible for logistics activities including managing procurement, stock, transportation, assets, fleet and fuel, security and IT within the project in close cooperation with ACTED Logistics Department. The formal employment relationship will be established with People in Need.
Chain of command
Hierarchical: PIN Programme Manager
Functional: A field logistician assistant in Llorente sub-base, guards and drivers
Working relations
Internal: All the ACTED and PIN Departments, notably closely coordinating with ACTED logistic department.
External: With Partners, Suppliers, Government officers and other parties directed by the management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Planning and Supply chain management
2. Stock Management
3. Delivery (Transport) Management
4. Assets and Property Management (including premises) / Security
5. Fleet and Fuel Management
6. Base Security Management
7. Computer security and maintenance
8. Monthly Logistics Report
Qualifications Required
• At least 2 years of experience in logistics
• Experience of managing bid and tender, logistics and the procurement cycle, and fleet management
• Previous work experience with local or international NGOs is a significant advantage
• Working knowledge on MS Office (Word and Excel);
• Willingness to travel a lot and work in remote and challenging areas
• Ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines and effectively under pressure
• Enthusiasm, flexibility and proactive approach, strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of the geographical area is a significant advantage
• Driving license and ability to drive a motorbike
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Waray-Waray
