Job Details:
We are a digital news company hiring an experienced Current News Writer.

Qualifications:
1. With an undergraduate degree (at least 2nd year college) and/or a college degree but preference will be given to journalism and communication arts majors.
2. Experience writing for an online publication and has knowledge in driving traffic and increasing views for a digital publication;
3. Adept in using social media tools such Twitter, Facebook, etc.
4. Innovative, collaborative and change-adverse.
5. Has written Current News articles before and is good at it.

Preferably trained in writing news/current events
Able to organise objective ideas in formal news paragraphs
Familiar with and able to apply AP style + SEO in writing reports
Able to search the internet for information (and ask pertinent sources for
more details)
Efficient in using social media networks
Proficient in English language and grammar
Able to follow editorial instructions
Able to submit 5 relevant articles daily before 12 noon GMT+8

Requirements:
1. You are required to write minimum 5 articles (minimum 8 paragraphs) per day.
2. Articles must be of high quality

This is a full time position. There is a probation of 1 month. Successful applicants can earn $350 upon regularization. The package includes salary plus bonus and incentives when group targets are met.
A written examination will be given to those interested based on your ability to find trending topics and how well-written your submitted articles are.
