Job Description and Summary:
To assist Network/Server Administrator – Calaca in the daily operation and maintenance of the Calaca Plants (SCPC & SLPGC) computing and networking facilities. To handle all site PC physical inventory, records and documentation requirements. To handle all site PC maintenance and coordinate with head office/laptops repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist site network/Server Administrator – Calaca in handling all service calls for all SCPC/SLPGC Plant users/departments.
2. Conduct regular physical inventory of all PCs/laptops hardware, accessories and software ensuring no violation of software license policy.
3. Maintain all hardware and software inventory records and document all movements.
4. Conduct regular PC hardware maintenance viz., cleaning, virus check, etc. including up to-date maintenance documentation.
5. Handle all PC troubleshooting, repairs and deployment of spare PC/laptop units.
6. Handle inventory of PC replacement spare parts and prepare necessary PRs to maintain proper inventory level.
7. Assist users in the generation of back-up files.
8. Handles the generation of regular back-up files for databases and systems.
9. Assist the Network/Server Administrator – Calaca and the Senior Network Engineer in the implementation of ICT projects for the Calaca Plants.
10. Handle all other task that may be assigned by the Network/Server Administrator – Calaca and the Senior Network Engineer.
11. Undertake work safely by:
a. Understanding the environmental hazards and obligation associated with all work to be undertaken.
b. Ensuring that the procedures, machine safeguarding and controls needed to work safely are understood and followed.
c. Reporting all incidents and unacceptable hazards, and
d. Being fir to work.
12. Responsible for ensuring that environmental obligations are met by:
a. Understanding the environmental hazards and obligations associated with all work to be undertaken.
b. Understanding and applying the procedures, machine safeguarding and controls needed to meet environmental obligations workplace controls, and
c. Reporting all unacceptable releases.
