Requirements:
• Candidates must possess atleast a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts or any equivalent courses
• With strong communication skills
• Must be personable, knowledgeable about artists and exhibits and have the ability to remember names and faces
• Art gallery experience is an advantage
• Willing to work late hours
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for monitoring and keeping artwork safe while the gallery is open
• Prepares purchase orders
• Coordinates events and exhibits with curator
• Ensure that the gallery is clean and that visitors follow the rules
• Staffs the front desk at the gallery
• Greets visitors, answer questions and field sales inquiries
• Promotes current and upcoming exhibits and ensure that visitors do not damage any works in the gallery
• Helps with the physical installation of exhibits
• Responsible for managing a gallery’s information technology and computer systems
• Helps coordinate resources and maintain information
• Responsible for coordinating and mailing invitations or assisting with publicity for events at their gallery
• Performs other duties that may be required from time to time
