Job Description
Works with the Project Manager to ensure that ZSL effectively and efficiently delivers the outcomes and outputs it commits to achieve under the “Supporting Coastal Protection Through Biodiversity Conservation in Coastal Ecosystems Affected by Typhoons in the Philippines (ProCoast)” project. With the supervision of the Project Manager, the post-holder will lead the operational planning and implementation of social marketing campaigns, education and outreach in targeted learning sites and training and capacity development in replication sites using proven and tested ZSL Social Marketing tools to raise awareness of and develop champions from local stakeholders, such as people’s organizations, coastal communities, local governments and other sectors on the importance of coastal and marine ecosystems against the impact of climate change and the urgent need to support the protection and conservation of the same.
The post-holder should have prior knowledge and demonstrated experience on behavioural change campaigns, education and outreach, preferably, in coastal and marine environment, or climate change adaptation projects, engaging with coastal communities and local governments. Experience with donor-assisted projects is desired.
Candidate should have:
Qualification
University degree in mass/development communication, journalism, social or behavioural sciences, marketing/ advertisingor other relevant field;
Demonstrated experience in social marketing, behaviour change, training and capacity development, and/or marketing and advertising;
With at least three years in experience in running conservation education and outreach; behaviour change advocacy or campaigns and engaging local stakeholders, preferably, but not necessary, in the context of community-based coastal resources management in the Philippines;
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience
