Job Description / Requirements
The Reporting Specialist is responsible for retrieving, analyzing, and converting various data into useful and insightful reports which include financial, operational, performance, satisfaction and statistical metrics. The successful candidate will create, track, maintain and present reports that assess operational and business results, influencing decision making. He/She is responsible for managing and maintaining multiple reporting databases and dashboards.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
• Reviews data requests to correctly identify and understand the information needed.
• Prepares accurate and timely reports and presents analyses with key findings and updates.
• Verifies data output to spot inconsistencies and errors.
• Recommends new or modified reporting method and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information.
• Develops a data retrieval plan to pull the data efficiently from mainframe data sources.
• Manipulates and combines data accurately to answer business questions.
• Provides data implications of analyses and serves as a subject matter expert for the customer, management and key stakeholders to ensure understanding of findings and gain commitment.
• Creates and delivers adhoc reports and performs other duties as directed.
Skills and Qualifications
• Computer proficient – strong skills and experience with MS Office with advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (Macro programming) and PowerPoint
• Knowledge in SQL, Visual Basic, WFM tools a plus
• Strong understanding of database fundamentals and data management
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Process oriented and logical thinker who constantly thinks of process improvements with good documentation skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with good attention to details
• Willing to work in Ortigas or Makati.
