Job Description / Requirements
We are looking for an experienced production assistant to oversee the shipment process from the date of the order to receiving the stock in the warehouse.
This is a home-based position and the hiring company is based in Australia. You should have a home office set-up with reliable internet connection (DSL/Fiber Optic) and desktop/laptop.
Knowledge required:
– Exceptional attention to detail
– Inventory management understanding
– Advanced numerical skills
– Ability to work with complex Google spreadsheets and understand simple formulas in Excel
– Knowledge of cloud based accounting software
– Experience in project management tools (i.e. Asana)
– Good written and verbal English skills
Examples of tasks:
– work with Production Manager on production forecasts and planning
– receive shipment notifications from suppliers and forward them to relevant parties
– update Google spreadsheets, process shipment notifications and invoices in our planning sheet
– enter shipment invoices to accounting software (Saasu)
– follow up late or lost shipments and stock discrepancies with supplier or warehouse
– Organise transfers between our warehouses and make sure they are delivered on time
– Issue purchase orders and send them to the suppliers, follow up any delays
