Cashier – Davao – International Committee of the Red Cross

Main Tasks:
• Assists in managing finance and accounting procedures
• Manages cash and check disbursements, fund transfers (internal/external), deposits, drafts requests
• Posts cash receipts on a daily basis
• Checks documents of mission advances for settlement
• Confirms that the cash control and the general ledger are in balance on a daily basis
• Facilitates payment of accounts payable
• Prepares monthly billing statements e.g. vehicle use, telephone charges
• Reconciles bank statements
• Assists in monthly accounting closing and follows up on demands for financial allocations
Analyzes accounting records to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to defined standards

Minimum Required Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or equivalent
• Minimum of two-year work experience in a similar function
• Computer literate with good knowledge of computer software
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Good computer and software application skills
